Meet your Guide at Visitor Centre, set in a beautifully restored medieval hall house, for a tour that will take you behind the scenes at Britain’s Oldest Brewer. Tours are available during the day on Mondays to Friday – advance booking is essential. Tours provide an opportunity for students to go behind the scenes and see how traditional skills are combined with modern equipment and technology to produce Shepherd Neame’s renowned beers. Educational visits are suitable for students aged over 14 and can provide valuable information for those studying biology (particularly micro-biology or fermentation), business studies, tourism, marketing, history and geography. As part of the Brewery’s commitment towards responsible retailing and education, we include a Those students aged 18 and over can taste some of the ales and lagers (please note our staff will ask for ID), while soft drinks will be provided for those aged 14 – 17. Special Visits for Foreign Language Students
Educational visits provide an opportunity for students to see the making of one of Kent's most famous products. The Visitor Centre bar has the appearance and atmosphere of a characteristic English inn allowing students to experience the customs and traditions associated with "visiting the pub". Students taking Brewery Tours must be aged over 14.
